Mr Review:-This is my kind of book, plenty to get your teeth into. The story starts with a family, Mam, Dad, 6-year-old little girl (who's birthday it is), and her baby brother in the car on the way home. They come to some water and have to decide, do they go through the water or drive 5 miles around to miss it. They decide to go through the water, after all it wasn't that deep, and that's when everything starts to go wrong.  I don't want to spoil this book for anyone so I'm going to leave it there for you. There are so many twists in this story, that it had me guessing so many times and still I got it wrong. It had me hooked from Chapter One and I couldn't put it down until I had read the whole book, and what a read it was. If you love Crime and Thrillers this is the book for you. Definitely 5***** from me.

My Review:-I've tried regency genre before, but I wasn't able to get into it but seeing as this was paranormal, shapeshifter I decided to give it a try and it didn't disappoint. I found all of the characters have distinct personalities, yet they all fitted nicely into this story.  I loved the strong female lead that Felicity has. Would you kidnap someone so they would fall in love with you? I'm looking forward to reading book two

My Review:-Jack had already broken Molly's heart when he left Crane's Cove, but he decides to come back and try's to make things right between them. Will Molly forgive him and try again? There is great personalities in each character apart from maybe a few, which I wasn't to sure of.  Even though I thought this was a quick read the author still paid attention to detail of the characters and the story. it was well wrote. My Review:-This wasn't an easy book to read as some parts weren't what I expected, But I think it did need to be said. The way this book has been wrote, it shows that the author has done a lot of research and has thought what needed to be said. There is everything from love, betrayal, corruption and a lot more in this story. The treatment these women go through and how much of it is covered up and not talked about, Paterson has put in this book. Thank You

Pages:-205
Blurb:-I didn't do it!
It took five years, two failed hits and several trips to the infirmary later for Joe to finally listen to me.
now I'm sitting in protective custody, staring at a murder board, wondering whose time I'm serving,
I'm prepared to fight, hell, I'm even prepared to die, it beats going back to prison.
What I'm not prepared for, is the truth.
Thank you @hyggebooktours @shauna.richmond #Ad #Gifted #Bookstagram #BookTwitter #hyggebooktours
My Review:-I know that there has been a book before this one but I haven't read it, so this is my first. The story is about Eabha, she's was sent to prison for a murder, that she didn't do and there's only Joe a Garda that believes she didn't do it and she is innocent. After fighting this for over 5 years Will she be able to prove her innocence? The only thing that might help her prove she didn't kill Tommy is one of his associates is now dead, is there a connection to this death and Tommy's?  The only person that can help her is Joe, but what can he do to help?
Personally I want to read "Screw It" and then read this one again, as there was times I wasn't sure about things. It did move at a good pace and there are twist and turns. Oh and thank you for the pronunciation in the Author notes as I thought I was saying the names right but of course I wasn't.

My Review:-This is the first time I've read anything by Zariah, but I don't think it will be my last. I have to start with the cover and the vivid colours, which I love and it caught my eye. The story is about Ori Patience and how she overcomes a breakup after a 5 year relationship and how she starts to find herself. When you hit the bottom there is only one thing to do and that's put your big girls pants on and pull yourself up and this is what Patience is doing. Some of the thing in her life I don't agree with, but it's her way of discovering herself and what she wants from her life. We are all different and not everyone will agree with what we think is right for ourselves. I found Patience to be a strong woman that will get want she wants from life.

Family Curse

Family Curse (Field Notebook 1880-2020)
By Tenacity Plys
Genre:-Horror, Fantasy, LGBTQ
Publisher:-Bottlecap Press
Blurb:-They say in town that every generation, fairies lure a member of Virgil's family into the local woods, never to be seen again. Virgil doesn't really care about that: they're just squatting at their aunt's vacant house during quarantine. But one night, they're awoken by a knocking at the book door that leads them into a tangle of family secrets, and a mystery that's as heart-breaking as it is chilling.
To understand their family history and avoid disappearing themself, Virgil doesn't really care about that; they're just squatting at their aunt's vacant house during quarantine. But one night, they're awoken by a knocking at the back door that leads them into a tangle of family secrets, and a mystery that's as heart-breaking as it is chilling.
To understand their family history and avoid disappearing themself, Virgil has to piece together journal entries from three generations of their relatives, who all spent their lives wondering why their siblings were taken. Has a serial killer been operating in the area for over a century. Could it be the aliens Virgil's great-uncle saw on an acid trip? And who is the figure watching them all from the forest edge?
Every relative has their pet theory, and they get to argue about it in the margins as each narrator leaves comments on the others' writing via Post-Its, footnotes, and more. The found-document form is stretched to the limit by this cacophonous debate across time, and in the end no one story holds the whole truth.
If Virgil can solve the puzzle, they won't just save themselves-they'll put more than a hundred years' worth of family's struggle to understand themselves is by turns spooky, funny, sad and hopeful despite everything.
Thank you @lovebookstours @tenacity_plys @bottlecappress #Ad #Gifted #Bookstagram #LBTCrew #BookTwitter
My Review:-This book is not wrote like a normal book, it is wrote in the form as a field notebook. I found this a quick read. We are in a four-bedroom in the middle of nowhere. We start April 2020 cleaning notes, day 1, labelling boxes and coming across some old journals and documents from my families past. Journaling has been going on in the family since the 1800s. I love how it start with buying some Oreos and vodka. I think I would need something strong  if I was in a house next to the woods on my own, especially at 4:30am and someone's knocking on the back door, even if there is a bookcase barricading my bedroom door. I enjoyed how you can pictured the scenes as the different writers are writing their journals. This book is a mix of humour and spooky with a bit of mystery added in. I did like the the end June 8th 2020, who do you think it is?

My Review:- Can I say when I first started reading this book I wasn't sure where I was or why (I think it's because I had only read a few pages when I had to stop, once I read a bit more it made sense). The book starts with Logan and Henry, two of the main characters,  I did like Logan from the beginning but Henry did grow on me once I got further into the book. There is so much I loved about this book but I can't tell you as it would spoil it for you. Ms Goto wasn't what I expected, so keep your eye on her. I loved the way the author wrote about "The Crone" and the detail from chapter twenty-two, I felt like I was there with Logan and Margot, hidden behind the tablet. Will Logan and Henry find each other. This a 5***** from me.

A Book In Time

A Book In Time
By Mark Stibbe
Genre:-Romance
Blurb:-A Book In time is a story about a book's longing over two centuries for the mother who bore it.
Adopted by many different owners-some loving, others unscrupulous-this book longs to be reunited with an elderly author who cherished it as if it was her only child. As the book passes through many hands, it observes not only the way people treat it, but each other, and in all of this, its mother's love sets the high standard against which everything is lovingly judges.
In a strange demonstration of synchronicity, the author-Mark Stibbe- experienced the culmination of his own search for a mother after completing this novel. Having been orphaned in1960, and having never met or known his birth mother, Mark met her for the first time  at the end of 2021, shortly before she died. So, there is more than a hurt of Mark's own search in the book's quest for its author.
In the case of a Book in Time, in perhaps a unique way, art has magically imitated life even as life has magically imitated art.

Twitter:- @markstibbe @KellyALacey @lovebookstours
My Review:-A book that has travelled for 250 years and never gives up hope of finding it's author, that is the only way I can describe it. It not only goes through the hands of ordinary people but also Charlotte Bronte, Sarah Grand and even the suffragettes. It takes you on a journey meeting good, bad, interesting and even people that have nothing apart from the book. The story is told through each page, telling how the reader and the book connected with each other. During all this time the book only has one wish and that is to get back to the author, a child looking in search for it's mother, just as the author that has wrote this story.

My Review:-The story is panned over many generations and many years. There are several characters,  they all brought together, by mystery, darkness and a some comedy. We meet Benjamin (Ben) a comedian on his way to Wales to look and find some material for his new upcoming tour, but don't think this book is all humour and laughter. We meet Erin who is a stranger to Ben, but she starts telling Ben about her ancestors. But why and what does she want from Ben? The story moves between present and the past, which at first I wasn't sure, but once you start reading more of the book yourself, you'll understand why the story is set like this. The book has been well thought out and the author has you wanting more.

Smoke

Smoke (The Ardelean Bloodlines)
By Sarah Jaeger
Genre:-Shifter Romance/Paranormal Romance
Blurb:-Thalia
Apparently ignoring my parents' politics wasn't the right move. Shifters were outed to the public, and months later, I'm still unsure what the big deal is about.
Now my life is on danger and the only one who can protect me is the true king of the wolves.
Cade is nothing like what my mam and the press show shifters to be. He's thoughtful, reserved... and have you seen his butt in those jeans?
  Cade
Having abdicated the throne, I've vowed to stay out of shifter politics.
Now my sole responsibility, for the next six weeks, is to make sure no idiots can completely derail the deal I've cut with the one woman holding all the cards.
The problem is... the threats against Thalia Clark are nothing compared to the danger of my wolf, now that he's claimed this human as his.
I'll kill to protect my mate, but is keeping up my end of the deal enough to save her?
Smoke is the first book in the Ardelean Bloodline series. While this story does contain an HEA for Cade and Thalia, there is an ongoing plot connecting each book in the series. Each book will need to be read in order. There are open door, explicit scenes as well as colorful language not intended for young readers.
My Review:-When I seen the cover of this book it  looked mysterious and dark to me. I wouldn't normally read anything about politics but I thought I would have a read anyway and I'm glad I did, don't let the politic put you off.
Thalia father is a diplomat, a politician and doesn't like wolves, but Thalia doesn't like anything to do with politics and tries to start away from it. Her father is worried about her safety and decides to hire security, and that's were we meet alpha wolf Cade. What will her father say when he finds out?
Cade has abdicated the throne, but when he meets Thalia all that changes. His wolf side comes out and he wants Thalia for his mate and starts thinking of pups.
Thalia and Cade are the total opposite, she wants out from her parents and Cade is protective around his kind and family. The tension between the two of them is strong and there is s many emotions going on. Cade and Thalia come from two different worlds as well as two different backgrounds. Can wolves and humans become one?
The author has put a lot of thought into the character, The storyline is well wrote and pulls you in. If you like shifter romance this book is for you. I'm looking forward to read Book 2 in the Ardelean Bloodline

Genre:-Children's Picture Book
Pages:-26
Blurb:-Eight-year-old problem-solver Terysa is determined to win the school science fair.
There is only one snog: she has so many ideas, she doesn't know which one to choose.
Terysa loves astronomy, so she wants her project to be space-related. But what exactly should she present? Luckily, her sister Shana is an astronomy wiz and is on hand to help, Shana inspires Terysa with the tale of mathematician Dorothy Vaughan, N.A.S.A's first Black supervisor and a computer programming pioneer.
Together, the sisters puzzle out the Python code that will get Terysa's science project moving all on it's own, and will soon have a project that is out of this world. But will it be enough to win the top science fair prize?
 Thank you @terysasolvesit @lovebookstours #Ad #Gifted #Bookstagram #BookTwitter #LoveBooksTours
My Review:- I love the cover of this book, it's big and bold and would appeal to children. The illustrations through this book are colourful and have plenty to talk about, especially with younger children. The author tells the story of Terysa a 8-year-old girl that loves all things Space and wants to do somethings special for the school science fair. After talking to her older sister Shana and hearing about Dorothy Vaughan and her being a computer programming pioneer, she decides to use coding. I like how the author shows that if it doesn't work the first time, you shouldn't give up. This book explains that using computer coding can help in so many ways, not just in gaming.

Maybe It's About time

Maybe It's About Time
By Neil Boss
Genre:-Contemporary Fiction
Pages:-540
Blurb:-Two people trapped in different worlds. One by wealth and one by poverty.
Twenty years working for The firm has given Marcus Barlow everything he wants but has taken his soul in return. Finding a way to leave has become an obsession.
Claire Halford's life hit rock bottom when she is caught stealing food from Tesco express. Left alone by her husband with two small children and an STI, her suicide music is starting to play louder in her head.
A chance meeting brings them together. as a mystery virus from China starts to run riot across the country, their world's collide and they find they have more in common than they knew.
Set in the early months of 2020. Maybe it's About Time is a story about the difficulty of changing lives for the better. Starting as a funny and satirical view of the egocentric world of professional services, it gives way to a heart-warming story of an unlikely friendship that rejuvenates Marcus and Claire, giving them both hope for a better future.
Thank you @hyggebooktours #Ad #Gifted
My Review:-The story is set in early 2020 and focuses on Covid-19 and the pandemic. I have to say I was in two minds worth or not I would like it but I did enjoy it. I felt that Claire and Marcus became my friends while I was reading this book. They come from two different backgrounds but both had there own struggles in life. They come together during the first lockdown and we get to know more about each of them as the story goes. As in real life it showed how people from different backgrounds came together to help each other, during these hard times. Will Claire and Marcus find what they are looking for while going through such a hard time?

My Review:-We had so much fun with the book and the wrist bands. My granddaughter has just turned 9 years old, and decided that we should read the book first so we knew what we were doing, but like any Lego you just want to play with it. We did many different ways of doing the wrist band, tiles and code but once Emily decided what she wanted, she added the tiles (with stickers) and it was up to me to guess what she had wrote in code. She decided to use her own code, but tell me until the end. Emily added stickers to some of the shapes, which I thought was a great idea and it would appeal to younger children.  There is so much you can do and use in this book, you get pattern paper that you can use, there is a box you can make, even bookmarkers. When it comes to the stickers, there is plenty to use in and on the book, Lego is for all ages and I have to say I enjoyed playing as well. Watch out for the glow in the dark tiles

two's company, but Three is UNSTOPPABLE in this high-octane adventure, 21% Monster: Ice Giant.
Thank you @pjcanningauthor @usborne_books @lovebookstours #Ad #Gifted #LBTCrew #BookTwitter #Bookstagram #bookhive
My Review:-I was only to happy to review Book 2, as I was lucky to get to review Book1 in the 21% Monster Series. The first thing that I liked was the cover, it was bright and pulled you in. Marek and Darren have come together in this book to destroy the evil agency that had created them. The agency know that Marek and Darren have the strength and intelligence, but do they have the power.  They come across Aurira, but will she want to stand with them and fight against the agency or will she turn and fight for the agency?
The story is fast-pace, plenty of twist and full of action and will appeal to Key Stage 3 and upwards

Twitter:- @DSquiffy @StairwellBooks @lovebookstours
My Review:-Where do I start, there is so much I can tell you, but I don't want to spoil it for you, so I'll tell you a few bits.
Otto never new his dad and he can't remember his mother, she died and he went to live with his Uncle Delderfield Macauley and his inventions of mechanical animals and other bits. You can picture all those different animals and creatures, the bright colours that they were painted
I read this book with my granddaughter who is 9 years old and she loved the different mechanical animalsb and what Otto and Florence got up to.

My Review:-Love In The Cupboard - Love and Mishaps Book 2 this can be read as a standalone, but if you are anything like me once you've read this you'll be looking for Book 1. This book will have you laughing out loud. There is so much happening that you'll just want to keep reading. Will Faith ever forgive Roxanne for breaking up her first relationship?  I do love Luke and Gavin, they are always there to listen to Faith's problems.
The way the author has wrote this book I felt like everyone was everyone's friends or wanted to be. If you're looking for a book to take on holiday, this is your book. You'll have everyone wondering why you've got a big smile on your face so much.
