My Review:-Orson Whitlock was ten-year-old when his father gave him a deck of cards on Christmas Eve 1972. The magic starts from here with Orson, spending time at Christmas was only the beginning of things. Little does he know this is the start of something big.  Orson and his assistance Agatha Anderson just finished a performance, when Daxton the Destroyer tell him he's not as good as he is, he was going to win the competition. Daxton starts to follow Orson and Agatha around, watching him and Daxton will do anything he can to stop Orson winning and becoming the Grand Master. Orson known he has to learn as much as he can and Agatha is by his side to help him, and they both know that it will be devastating if Daxton wins. Orson discovers a family secret, Orson's father and Grandpa were the best magician when they were younger. This is a easy read, that will appeal to young readers.
