Breaking Eggshells

Breaking Eggshells
By Liv Andrews
Genre:-Women's Fiction/Family Drama/Romance
Pages:-305
Publisher:-Words on Toast
Blurb:-Amanda has been walking on eggshells all her life.
Aunt Julia runs away at the very thought of them.
Sister Maddy breaks whatever she wants. (Eggshells? What eggshells?)
When Amanda's life falls apart, she realises that she has been too accommodating of everyone around her; pressured into living a life she never really wanted. She's been treading water and is only just keeping her head above the waves. Losing her sense of self, discovering a family secret and realising that they are all dancing to a very different tune means that starting over and trying to be the person she should have been is not easy.
So when an opportunity beckons, should she go to the safety of the shallows or take the risk and dive right in at the deep end?
Set in a riverside village in the UK (fictional) and partly in The Bahamas
Triggers: The story incorporates infidelity, suicide and sudden unexpected death (the last two of which, though obviously significant events, are not overly dwelt on).

My Review:-Amanda has always accommodated everyone, rather than have the life she always wanted. She put herself second to everyone else around her.  Amanda wants to start her life again but that means coming to terms with the past, as well as her cheating husband.
The story is told from multiple POV, which you'll find interesting, brings the story together, along with drama, and secrets which I think we all could relate to some way or another. I found the story heartwarming and inspiring. No matter how far you go in life, you can also find your way back, even if it does take years to do so. Never give up.
