Question 6
Until I had my children I didn't have a problem with my weight, but once I had my 2nd child that's were I would say I started to notice my weight more, but I still didn't do anything about it until after my 3rd children and having not lost the weight from my 2nd children I did feel big and not comfortable. This was when I first went to weight loss classes and lost the weight but still didn't feel right in my own body.
Things didn't change until I decided to start loving myself and think of myself as a person, not just a mother. I went from a size 18 to a size 10 within 6 months (swimming everyday) and started to love my body, and I felt different.
Fast forward 5 years and another 2 children. Even after putting weight back on, this time around it didn't bother me as I felt good in myself.
Now 20 years later I'm a size 18 again but this time it doesn't bother me at all. I know part of it is health problems and being in a wheelchair fulltime, but life is to short. I love my body and all the bumps and marks, they are my life lines that's made me the person I am today. I think I'm doing ok, 9 children and even more grandchildren.
