My Review:-This is Book 5 in "Jax Diamond Mysteries". Jax has a lot on his mind at the minute, wondering what his real name is, but also he's in love with Laura, but he doesn't think he's enough for her. Laura is worried about Jax, but after finding some information and letting Jax know about it, could be just what he's been looking for to give him the break he needs. Will Jax and Ace find out the truth?
There are a few twists in the book, but if you keep your eyes open and keep reading, you might just find a few clues that Gail has left us to find. That's all I'm saying about it.

My Review:-My granddaughter read this book after myself, so I thought I would write her review. This is a review from a 13-year-old girl that is being bullied from a group of girls at school.
I did feel sorry for Terry for being one of the bigger kids, kids can be really cruel, especially in school PE. I think we all wish we could go to a magical land away from everything, I know I would. Polly is a great friend to have and I loved how he didn't see Terry any different, even though he was totally different to him, The adventures they get up to are so funny and the signs are really good "This way, That way, The other way" and the way the author put it into the conversation. I liked how Terry stood up to Max(Maxwell). If you stand up to bullies and show that you're not afraid, that might be all it takes, but if not it will make them stop and think and the more you stand up to them the better.

My Review:- I have based my review on "A Line in the Sand" but as you move through each book, we see the character have grow together and we share their emotions in love, loss and been on their own, both good and bad. We move through time with each book as the characters grow in age, mentally and start to understand them more.
I'll start with the cover, it's some where you would love to be. This is Book 3 in "All At Sea Trilogy" and it fits in nicely with the other two books. During the story I did feel like I was there with some of the characters. I also could image sitting on top of the cliff side looking out with the cold wind blowing,
The book is set out with each person telling there story. Alice can't find Kai, since he stormed out after seeing her with James, but it wasn't what he thought he seen. Will Melissa find love in a stranger she kissed at the bar? I loved the relationship between James and Shay, it was a relationship that felt so real.
I spent many holidays on the Cornish coast as I grow up, we would travel from one end of the country (where we lived) to another. I remember the golden sand and blue water. If I closed my eyes I can picture and taste the salty water, the fresh and hot summer days. Reading these  book brought back all the happy memories I remember as a children, which added to the story.
All At Sea-170 pages
Alice is young, in love and living on the Cornish coast. Life should be perfect. But Alice is about to meet someone who will make her question everything.
Changing Tides-108 pages
Can you ever really move forward without looking back? Five years have passed and Melissa has the chance to come back to the cottage by the sea where all the drama unfolded.
In need of a fresh start, can she put the past behind her in the very place that left her heartbroken?

My Review:-📘📗🕮I had the pleasure to get my booked signed by Glenda as my son meet her, and what a lovely woman she is. This is my first book I've read by Glenda, but it won't be my list.
Poppy and Rose's father died in the pit and her mother was found on the beach dead, the locals say she died of a broken heart. Poppy and Rose are took in by Nellie Harper, but it's not a easy life for them. Poppy and Rose only have each other and that's the way they what it to stay. At night one of the girls sleeps while one has to stay awake so she can wake Nellie when the church bell rings 3 times, as Nellie in a 'knocker upper' she wakes the men up to do their shift down the pit. The girl that sleeps goes to school, as they both can't go as they only have one pair of boots between them. Poppy knows something is up as Nellie has been different towards her but she's not sure what, all she knows is Nellie has had 3 letters. Poppy finds one of the letters and there's only one person she knows that she can trust to read it and that's Sid. Sid, Poppy and Rose go down to the beach and into a cave to read the letter, but the tide comes in quicker than they thought and they almost die.
I don't want to say anything else as it will spoil the book, but I will say it is emotional at times.
I have enjoyed this book so much, especially as I knew and been to the place that Glenda spoke about.

My Review:-😎🏖 This is Book One in 'A detective Grace McKenna Scottish Murder Mystery.'

Trauma To Truth

Trauma To Truth
By Claire Louise Robinson
Genre:-Poetry/Self Help
Pages:-124
Blurb:-Trauma to Truth is a self help book, using poetry and prose that documents a journey through trauma to truth.
It tells a story from start to finish and how it is possible to go from recovery to starting the discovery of who you can become.
It begins with Trauma and how it was personally viewed and moves through the process of unpicking, unravelling, highlighting the highs, lows and all the emotions in between.
It covers anger, domestic abuse, grief, love and loss, finally finishing with forgiveness.
It is a raw and honest account of one woman's story to share that there is in fact light at the end of the tunnel and you do not have to be defined by your past.

A group of teenage friends that have special abilities, and all work well as a team. Quinn is my favourite of the Younglings, he is human and a demon. The book begins with a little boy ghost Oliver. Oliver keeps appearing and disappearing before Quinn can find out what he needs. Once Quinn finds out that Oliver needs to safe his cat, Severus before he can pass, Quinn knows it's up to him to rescue Severus. We meet Rhys the Vampire tracker who wants to rid of everyone apart from Eve, as he wants her as his Vampire Queen.
If you haven't read Books 1 & 2, you need to, you won't be disappointed. The books flow into each other, which shows just how good the author is.

Dark enough to See The Stars
By Beth Duke
Blurb:-The long-awaited sequel to bestseller and book club favourite IT ALL COMES BACK TO YOU has arrived!
Violet Glenn.
Everybody loved her.
In 1946, that included her boyfriend's best friend, Sam Davidson.

A mysterious email arrives from Chet Wilson's son, asking Ronni to tell "the truth" about his dad.
She ignores it.
Sam Davidson's family becomes inextricably linked with Ronni, though and through them she learns a story that must be told.
Ronni finds herself back at the keyboard, determined to share the long-held secrets revealed to her.
And once again, Violet is reaching back through the years to touch Ronni's life.

My Review:-The cover is simple and colourful, which will appeal to children. It was interesting to read about disabled team football, as a wheelchair user I didn't know about powerchair football. I also didn't know about different size footballs depending on the age of the teams.
I loved the way the book is set out and meeting the "Team" and what their jobs were in football. Learning Football Facts, the Rules, Country Competitions, football technology.
I loved the "Activity" A Game of Two Halves! showing games you can do and even how to make a football table. This is a great book for all footballers and anyone that just wants to know a but about football.

It is a novel based on the true event of the great North Sea flood of 1953.

My Review:-A isolated island. It's 1950s the farmers on the island found themselves in devastation when the place is almost completely submerged.
Annie and George Hadley along with their four children have to decide what to do for the best. Annie and the children try to get to the mainland. It's going to be up to George to try and save both the farm and the animals, but is it going to be to much for one person.
After losing almost everything, it's not going to be easy to repair and restock what's been destroyed.
The author does a great job showing what nature can do in just a short time and the impact it leaves on so many people's life, both on the island and off

It All Comes Back To You

It All Comes Back To You
By Beth Duke
Blurb:-Alabama 1947.
War's over, cherry-print dresses, parking above the city lights, swing dancing.
Beautiful, seventeen-year-old Violet lives in a perfect world. Everybody loves her.
In 2012, she's still beautiful, charming, and surrounded by admirers.
Veronica "Ronni" Johnson, licensed practical nurse and aspiring writer, meets the captivating Violet in the assisted living facility where Violet requires no assistance, just lots of male attention. When she dies, she leaves Ronni a very generous bequest-only if Ronni completes a book about her life within one year. As she's drawn into the world of young Violet, Ronni is mesmerized by life in a simpler time. It's an irresistible journey filled with revelations, some of them about men Ronni knew as octogenarians at Fairfield Springs.
Struggling, insecure, flailing at the keyboard, Ronni juggles her patients, a new boyfriend, and a Samsonite factory of emotional baggage as she tries to craft a manuscript before her deadline.
But then the secrets start to emerge, some of them in person. And they don't stop.
Everything changes.
Alternating chapters between Homecoming Queen Violet in 1947 and can't-quite-find-her-crown Ronni in the present, IT ALL COMES BACK TO YOU is book club fiction at its hilarious, warm, sad, outrageous, uplifting, and stunning best.

My Review:-Karen Keele is married to Will and has Ellie and Jesse, twin girls. Karen's mam, Mary has Alzheimers. Will's injury, a burglary and money worries and it's Karen's job to keep everything together and not show how she's really feeling because of Ellie and Jesse.
Karen wins a family holiday to a cabin, over the Bank Holiday in a raffle. That's when everything changes.  I love the storyline the author has went along. How many of us have thought about this happening  before, I know I have. There are some twists that I didn't see coming and will have you looking over your shoulder. Once I started reading this book, I did find it hard to put down and ended up reading it in one day. Will be reading more by Christina
