Mt Review:-This is the first book I've read from the 'Terrible True Tales' by Terry Deary, also the author of 'Horrible Histories' With 'Terrible True Tales: Egyptians you're not just getting one book but four. We have stories about building pyramids, Tutankhamen's tomb and grave robbers, mummies and buried treasure. Each story is shorter than if you had each story on it's own, which makes it more appealing to children that don't like reading a lot.
My daughter has always loved anything Egyptians from the age of 5-year-old, so I asked my daughter to give this book a read and this is what she had to say...I use to watch Horrible Histories as a child and have always loved history but I was especially obsessed with ancient Egypt. This is a book that all ages will find entertaining. It is brilliant with mixing fact and fiction, the first story-The Gold in the Grave is proof of that it also happened to be my favourite of the four stories, with The Plot on the Pyramid a close second. The activities throughout the book will be great for both parents/teachers and children. I'm going to have a look at the Greek Tales next. 5*****
