Blurb:-A deeply moving story of two women's journey through grief and loss back to happiness; perfect for fans of Sophie Kinsella, Katie Fforde and Marian Keyes.
Tawrie Gunn has spent her whole life in the same breathtakingly beautiful but predictable seaside town, with her beloved Nan and grief-stricken mum. All three women are still struggling with the tragic loss of Tawrie's dad at sea many years earlier.
Now in her late 20's and determined to make a change, Twrie challenges herself to confront the ocean and go wild swimming every morning from March until September, joining a group called the 'Peacock Swimmers'. Suddenly, it seems as if Tawrie might be able to step outside of her comfort zone after all, and her life takes a new direction when a handsome stranger in a pink linen shirt arrives in Ilfracombe. However, even love at first sight rarely runs smooth.
Harriet Stratton has uprooted her family and moved them from the familiar to a totally new setting in desperate pursuit of a fresh start. After discovering her husband Hugo's infidelity, Harriet hopes that the separation from what came before will allow them to rebuild their marriage and a happy home for their two young children, Dilly and Bear.
But, over time, Harriet comes to realise that she can't be responsible for fixing something that she didn't break, no matter how much she would like to make everything better.
As the two women's stories move through time and place to finally connect, so too do Tawrie and Harriet find their way through grief and loss, and back to happiness.

My Review:- This is a dual timeline. Two women have to decide what is going to be best for themselves, searching for what life can give to them and show them how their life can be if they step out of their own comfort zone.
Gun lives with her mother and Nana in the same seaside town she has lived her whole life. Tawrie wants more, and decides to take up wild swimming, which means she will swim every morning March to September with a group of swimmers known by the 'Peacock Swimmers'.
Twenty years ago Harriet Stratton had to decided what was best for her children, Dilly and Bear as well as herself. Even moving away to Ilfracombe seals to try and save her marriage after finding out her husband, Hugo had been unfaithful to her. But thing don't always work out no matter how much you try.
I love Amanda's writing style, she put her whole self into this beautiful and heartwarming story.
