My Review:-X in Provence is Tani Ruiz's debut novel. Ravinia, is a English journalist. Ria decides to leave her career and home in Hong Kong to be with Alain, a French Sculptor in Provence. Her relationship with Alain is everything she could ask for, but after getting married things start to change. Alain and Provence both have a darker side, a side that Rai hadn't seem or wants to either. But how far will she go and how safe is she? A book of betrayal, obsession, vulnerability, survival and so much more. Even though it has a dark side and not everyone is going to like it, I found once I started reading I couldn't put it down. Beauty and the Beast combined with 50 Shades of Grey.

My Review:-This is Book Two in 'An Exmoor Harbour Tales' series. I had the pleasure of reading and reviewing book one 'Moving To Combe Tollbridge' last year, so when I seen this one I had to give it a read. It's that time of the year when everyone likes to go on holiday and it's no different in Combe Tollbridge. There are a few storylines within this book, from the tourist that have came for the first time to Professor Tolliday who hasn't been for fifty years and brought his family with him. Why has the Professor came back after so long? Not all the storylines have an ending in this book, so I think we might be seeing more about them in book three. 

 I have to say Combe Tollbridge sounds like a place that I would be happy staying at. I'm not one for a lot of people or noise. We go on holiday to the same little Welsh village every year and in the past 15 years nothing much has changed.

My Review:-My granddaughter Emily and I read this book together. Rae is just like any other little girl, she's a artist, scientist, a doctor, but today she's a chef. Along with her cat Nero Rae gets everything she needs to make a sandwich, but things don't go to plan when she puts turkey on her bread (which is the parents) and it disappears, Phebe her dog gets the blame for eating it. Then her mam and dad eat other parts of her sandwich, but her mam does say that there is avocado to use. Rae explains how a sandwich is like a family. We loved everything about this book from the adorable illustrations to how beautiful the story is. There is so much to talk about within each page. Emily decided that the avocado could be the glue to keep it together, but as she said not everything needs glue to keep it together LOVE is want is needed most. What do you think the avocado would be?

My Review:-This is book two in 'The Nicholas Trilogy'. I had the pleasure of reading and reviewing book one 'A Boy In A Storm.' I would highly recommend reading book one, but it can be read as a standalone. Along with some familiar characters we get to meet some new ones. Gary Huges takes us from London to Auchenmore a small village in the Scottish Highlands. Where Gary tries to reconnect with his past. Past, Present and Hope takes you on a journey of reconnecting, rebuilding and building new relationships. This is an exciting and amazing story, that you have to read. I can't wait to see what Oliver has for us in book three.

My Review:-The story is set in 1967. It's the time of the Nigerian Civil War and during the brutal Biafran genocide. We are with Ngozika, a young Igbo woman, as she takes us with her on her journey a better life. Ngozika must keep her daughter Udoka and son Emeka safe at any cost. Ngozika decides to take her children to where her mother and brother are, a village called Ogwuma. With the help from a Yoruba soldier she manages to take a bus. Not long before Ngozika has to go back to sort things out, but leaves her children with her mother and brother. But things don't turn out right, on her return back to Ogwuma she finds out her brother has been killed and her children are gone. Finding out her children are now in Umuahia, she must get there no matter how hard it's going to be or how long it takes her. This is an emotional story, of not just one woman but of many, showing how The Women of Biafra take control after the husbands are either fighting or dead

My Review:-This is my first book by Woolf, but it will not be my last. There's a serial killer out there, putting the fear into everyone, especially women, stopping them going out at night.

 Rebecca Ferguson is a successful brewery owner. Rebecca hasn't had an easy life when it comes to romance. She is trying to start over again but isn't finding it easy with the Yorkshire Ripper out there somewhere. Set in the 70s and 80s when mobile phones were not a thing, it's up to each person to trust their own feeling, but with Rebecca's past can she really do that and is it enough to keep her safe as well as finding that someone.

 we have great characters to go with a gripping storyline. It will have you guessing till the end

My Review:-I Am Perfectly Flawsome is set out in 10 chapters, each one having a 'Journal Prompts' along with wide margins to wrote notes as you go along. I love how it talks about acknowledging your flaws. Throughout the book there are anecdotes, scientific research and practical exercises. This is a book that could help so many people with mental health, especially with the number of younger people trying to cope with bullying and the stress of being in the 'in crowd'. I did like the 'Book Club Reader's Guide' at the back of the book, it's something you could do with friends and family.

 I have always told my children and grandchildren to be who they wany to be, not what others think they should be. We all have flaws, nobody is perfect no matter what they might think. Shine from both the inside as well as the outside.
