My Review:-Where do I start, there is so much I can tell you, but I don't want to spoil it for you, so I'll tell you a few bits.
Otto never new his dad and he can't remember his mother, she died and he went to live with his Uncle Delderfield Macauley and his inventions of mechanical animals and other bits. Otto didn't go outside and spent his time indoors with his only friend, a mechanical monkey, that was until he meet Florence.
Florence was everything he wanted to be, happy, brave and cunning. Everything started to go wrong when the parrots got loose. Florence, Otto, and his monkey ended up on a gallon with Jetho Silver and Emoria Cogwright, oh and a golden lizard.  Otto noticed something around the pirate's neck, what was it and where had he seen it before? You can picture all those different animals and creatures, the bright colours that they were painted
I read this book with my granddaughter who is 9 years old and she loved the different mechanical animalsb and what Otto and Florence got up to.
