It's Been One Of Those Days

My day started very early this morning as I woke up at 5am and couldn't get back to sleep. I decided that I would do some colouring in as I didn't want to get up and wake Abby (our doggy). I always have crafty bits beside my in bed for when I can't sleep. It's funny when I first started colouring in my images for cards I used Promarkers, then I found Copic, then Pencils. After a few months of using all these I started using them together to get the shading. I found my best thing I love most of all when colouring is my Stumpies (grey cardboard pencil things)  you use to blend your colours together.
 

These are a few images that I have coloured and made cards with. I always colour my image then decide on what colours I'm going to use on my cards. I have made a few cards that have been all most the same, because someone has seen it and wanted one done the same. I like to find out what colours they like before I start to colour so I can try and those colours x

Been Busy

Hi. I've had a few days in bed as I've been in a lot of pain, but that means I've been doing some cross stitch and did a order for cards that I had. I try and do as much crafting as I can when I'm stuck in bed as it takes my mind of the pain a bit. I finished a order I had for some cards and then Makenzy dropped them of for me. I put the money I make on my cards away until October, thats when we go down to Doncaster to Stamp Magic and stay in a hotel, we normally have about 5 days.  I've got 4 different cross stitches on the go at the minute. I have a lovely 'Wolf' cross stitch half done but I can only do it during the day as the background is black so hurts my eyes at night. I have a 'Cat with a sewing box', a small cross stitch which I'm almost finished of a cat, it's to make a card with and last is one that I got on Friday from Hobbycraft. Hobbycraft are doing some really nice and cheap cross stitch kits, you are getting everything you need including the hoop for £6.

Another Goodbye

Evening,  just as I thought this year was going to be a good one.  Today we said goodbye to someone I've known for over 30 years. He was the most lovable man you could meet, he was the life and soul of any party and most of all he was a great Dad and Granda.   Life is one thing we have no control over, it doesn't wait until you are old.  We need to make everyday as if it's our last, enjoy and do what you want to do, I know it's Easier said than done especially if your in pain or you have things on your mind that aren't good.

Oh before I forget my car still isn't fix yet but hopefully it will be next week. The man from the garage is coming out Monday or Tuesday to reset the keys and my lift to see if that will make it work, so fingers crossed.  It's funny I waited so long for my car, when it came I looked forward to being able to go out on my own as I have a lift and guess what I still haven't been able to go out n my own as the lift doesn't always work.
I went for my PIP medical this week. The person that took it was really lovely, his first words to me was 'I'm really sorry that you've had to come, I will be talking to my boss when we are finished as you should of never had to come'.  I was only in about 10 minutes rather than the hour it should of been.  I'll keep you up to date on what happens.
Well I'm off to bed as I have my grandchildren coming tomorrow, I've never seen them this year, sounds like a long time rather than a few weeks.

Another Year

Well here is the start of another year, let's hope it doesn't go by as quick as last year did.  I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and a Happy New Year.  The birthday's start tomorrow with Josh the we have Lucy, Megan, Lee and Nathan the  last for January.

I got my new car at last on 19th Dec2016 and after only 11 days I had to call the RAC as the lift would not work so I couldn't get into the car. I had to wait 2 and 1/2 hours before they got to me, by that time I was freezing. The lad managed to get me in after 30 minutes and followed us home to make sure I could get out, which I did. Since then I haven't used the car as I don't want to get stuck again. Had a call to say someone will be out on Monday to have a look at the car, as they are still on holiday until then.

I'm busy with a few different things at the minute. Megan asked if I would make her a cardi with chunky wool and cable down the front, so I've done the back and almost finished one side. I'm doing a cross stitch for her for her birthday (it's on 14th). I making 2 cut and fold books for little presents for friends. I also need to do birthday cards.  So as you can see I've not got much on.  I need to fit into all this doctor and hospital appointments for both Megan and myself, oh and my card classes start up again on 18th January.

Merry Christmas Everyone, I thought I might of been asleep by now but as you can see I'm still awake.  Santa's plates out with his mince pie and drink, oh and not forgetting carrots for his reindeer.  Even though Makenzy's 12 he still loves doing the Christmas Eve tradition. He's hung his and Megan's Christmas stockings, made sure everything was right for the Santa plate, he then put the reindeer food out so both the reindeer and Santa could see it and also made sure the Magic Key was hung outside so Santa can get in with the presents.  It's so nice that he still wants to do all this. I do think if Megan and he had being going to school instead of Home Ed things would of been different, but being Home Ed and mixing with other children that still believes is a lovely thing.. I'm not to sure about Megan, she still loves doing the reindeer food and the going to bed early ready for Santa, but just not to sure on the rest.
I'm so please the running around for Christmas is over and everyone is hopefully settling down. If you haven't got everything you need now, its to late to worry about it.

What You Been Up To?

Good Evening, It's been a long day or is it just me. I've had so much to do and still not finished everything. I decided to do myself a list of things I need to do and need done before the Jolly Man comes.  I woke up early this morning but wish I hadn't, I've woke up with no voice, not good when you have to phone people.  I went and picked up my oldest daughter this morning as she's using my car to get some bits in for me as I'm not in the mood to go shopping.

 I was asked if I could make a couple of Christmas cards for a friend, which I've managed to do and drop off. When I dropped the cards off I found out that her mam had passed away. It's not a nice thing anytime of the year but this time is a bit harder.

We've put our Christmas tree up but haven't finished it yet, that's for tomorrow. I like to do the tree as a family, plus Megan and Makenzy love doing it. Once we are all finished I'll put a pic up so you can see what we've done. I have all the Christmas stockings that I made last year to put up, been making little penguins this year.

Well I'm going to go and have a hot Lemon and an early night and hopefully I will feel a lot better tomorrow and you never know I might have my voice back.

Another day almost over

Hi, I would normally say good morning or good evening but it's not been one today. Having fibromyalgia does take it out of you and I think if you haven't got it or know someone with it you don't really know how we feel. With fibromyalgia you have good days and bad days but because I have other health problems I find I'm in pain everyday. Anyone that knows me knows I don't like showing how bad I am,  I always say that 'there's someone worse off than me'.  Today's been one of these days where you don't know where you want to be because no way is comfortable.  Trying to find somewhere that is comfortable is one of the hardest things to do. All my body is in pain today even my fingers, and on top of that I'm full of cold. Ive not been off my bed much today as I find sitting in my wheelchair just makes it worse when I'm having a bad day, so lying on my bed with heat mat, tens machine and my tablets is the best place for me.  I must say I have a brilliant family especially Megan and Makenzy. Since Andrew past away they have been my rock, without them I'm not sure where I would be now.
 As most of you know Megan and Makenzy are both 'Home Educated'  HE' for short.  Since we decided on HE Megan and Makenzy have came on loads. We do a lot of hands on things, they both know how to cook and bake, Makenzy takes after Andrew for cooking he loves it so much. They both know how to deal with money for everyday living and also for bills and how to budget.  Some people think because Megan and Makenzy are HE they don't see other children the same age as themselves but we do, we do a lot of HE meets with children of all ages that are also HE. We meet up once a week if not more. Depending on weather and what workshops are on depends on what we do. Megan and Makenzy were at the 'Live Theatre ' doing story writing and the story they were writing with the other HE children was made into a small book for each one of them and it was up to them what the end of the story was about.
Well that's enough for tonight as it's time I try and get some sleep, I know I won't get a lot but some is better than no sleep. Night, night xx
