My Review:-The story follows three people, Gimlore, Orberesis and Rednow. Gimlore is a single mam to two daughter, she'll do anything to keep them safe, even manipulation, which is only the start.
Orberesis is always in chronic pain due to his past and has his own followers that think he is God. And then there's Rednow, an old warrior with smoke magic. he's haunted by his sister's death. Each of these three have their own personal story to be told, filled with fear, loneliness, addiction, grief and more.
I did find the beginning of the book a bit slow, but don't let that stop you as it does pick up and becomes an interesting story with some great twists along the way. The author's imagination is great the way he has create the creatures and added drawings for us. He has also added a map at the front of the book, a glossary, a bit about the charters at the back, along with a bit about himself.
