Accounting For Charm: A Grumpy Sunshine Romantic Comedy
By Brenda Lowder
Genre:-Romantic Comedy
Blurb:-To accountant Alex Chase, numbers make sense. What doesn't make sense is leaving his comfortable home to travel to another state and help a friend of a friend with her messed-up finances. Especially since she'd rather channel the power of crystals than straighten out her own life.
Jewelry maker Calista Hollingdale flutters through life like a butterfly. Bright and vivacious, she's impulsively generous and projects a positivity that inspires those around her. She's content to let the pesky details like receipts and bookkeeping slide until she meets tight-laced Alex Chase, the grumpy, dedicated, and stoic numbers man with the under-the-radar sense of humour.
Alex mesmerizes her with talk of income streams and tax withholdings, not to mention his piercing blue eyes and those sculped cheekbones. It might take more than one of Calista's charms to coax Alex's attention out of his spreadsheets, but with a little pull, these opposite forces might just attract.

My Review:-This is book 3 in 'Keeping the Pieces Series', you can read this as a standalone. Alex didn't like leaving Atlanta where he lived , never mind flying to Houston, but he also didn't like to let people down, so when his sister-in-law Sasha ask if he could help, he said yes, after all she was his actual friend. Calista is a free spirit and she doesn't like boundaries and doesn't keeping things organised, which was one of the reasons she needed help from Alex.  Alex and Calista are total opposites in every way, but they is a spark between the both of them. This is an easy read to pop in your holiday bag. I would of loved to know more about the other characters, especially Alex family. I will be reading the other 2 books in the series.
